Spring Info, Terms & Conditions 2026

Important Information, Terms and Conditions for booking and attending Pilates Mat Classes, Spring 2026.

Ten Weeks of Classes: Monday 20th April to Friday 26th June 2026

Why Our Pilates Classes ?

We organise our Pilates classes as flexibly for you to maximise your attendance. We also maintain a high standard of learning and safety by keeping our classes progressively taught and organised in different levels of experience and challenge.

We teach, we do not ‘instruct’. You will learn more abour your body, how to use the Pilates principles and get taught new exercises throughout the term, improving your structural fitness and deepening your understanding. Your teacher might focus on shoulders one class, or work on a specific new exercise another week; they will also give you personal feedback, and if you are in-person, some ‘hands on’ guidance. This makes our classes non-formulaic and non-generic.

A Journalist described Bea as the OG of Edinburgh Pilates; she has been teaching for 23 years, Gill for 16 and Katy for 12, so we are amongst the most experienced teachers you are likely to find.

Types Of Class – Hybrid or In-Person Only

  • Most of our classes offer in-person and online attendance options for the term. Make sure you notice the title of the class; does it say ‘Live Online’ or name a venue such as ‘Gathering Essence’. Pick the way you wish to attend.

  • If you get your booking wrong, you can cancel all of your classes in your MINDBODY ‘my schedule’ and rebook in to the correct attendance.

  • You can change from in-person to live online and vice versa, any time up to 24 hours in advance of a class, and subject to availability.

  • Two classes are in-person only: Monday Small Group Lunchtime Class, 12.30-1.30pm at the Yoga Room, Forth Street with Gill Bertram amd Friday General Pilates 9.15-10.15am at St Oswald’s, 41 Montpelier Park with Katy Bromberg

We Work in ‘Terms’ for Progressive Teaching – How to Attend

Because we like to teach progressively, we do give priority booking to those who want to attend the ten classes this term. Remember you DO get to reschedule classes you cannot attend, joining any other classes during the tern weeks of term, so you do not need to miss a single class.

From Monday 20th April, we release a set number of eight-class passes and individual classes, which you can book to use during the term, subject to availability. Some classes might already be fully booked, so if you know you want to attend a specific class, we recommend booking for the ten weeks, and if you need to miss classes, reschedule, swapping to a different class during the term.

  • Ten-Week Term of Classes [1 hour each] £135
  • Ten-Week Small Group Term of Classes,  Monday Lunchtime £165

The ten week term £135  payment, is for one person attending the same class during the term  – this is £13.50 a class. All passes apply to one person only.

Passes end on the last day of term and cannot be carried in to a different term. You are able to reshedule classes you cannot attend. See more below

Vital Information for Booking Yourself in to All Ten Classes

Please book your class using the MINDBODY website, not the app.
The app only allows booking for individual classes, not a weekly term booking. Thank you.

Book the full ten-week term and use our rescheduling system once the term begins.

How to Book in MINDBODY
• Use the ‘Recurring Booking’ section in MINDBODY.
• Start Date: a date in the week of  20th to 24th April (the first class)
• End Date: a date in the week of  22nd to 26th June (the final class)
To select the end date, hover your cursor over the arrow at the end of the box and choose the last class from the drop-down list.

This will automatically book you into every class in the ten-week term.

[If you cannot see ‘recurring booking’, you might be using the app and are probably on your phone – swap to a computer or tablet and use the website to see this]

Cancelling Classes and Re-Booking

  • Once term has started, if you cannot attend a class, you can can ‘cancel’ in your ‘schedule’ in your MINDBODY account with us, and as long as you have done this 24 hours in advance you can use the money to book in to a different class any time during the ten weeks.

  • If you will miss the first day of term, Monday 20th, please tell Bea via email, and I will ‘early cancel’ it for you on Monday 20th April, so you can use the money for a different class. If you book it out in advance of the class, it confuses Bea and other clients in to thinking there might be a space available for the whole block, and Bea might not realise you are booked in for the term.

  • The Monday lunchtime small group class falls in to a category of its own, no one from the other classes can book in to ‘make up’ in it.  Attendees can use the MINDBODY software to book out of a class you cannot attend, but you cannot then use the system to book in to a different class, because of the price difference.  I am giving all attendees two ‘make up’ classes during the ten-week term.  To use them you need to email me and state which class you are not attending and which class, date, and whether online or in-person you want to attend instead and I can arrange it for you manually.

Pilates Equipment you need for class

Terms and Conditions of Booking

    • All booking are to be done online unless you have a disability, no access to the internet etc. Do email Bea if this is the case or text on 07951 686322. Bea is very happy to help. Email Bea before booking to get help if you are unsure of anything, but please read all the information provided on the website as the answers to most questions should be there.
    • Booking mistakes: If you book something you did not mean to, you can ‘early cancel’ the class or all of the classes in ‘My Schedule’ in your MINDBODY account, and re-book the class you meant to book; this includes swapping from online to in-person.
    • Swapping from In-Person to Online and Vice Versa: if you do want to swap from in-person to online or vice versa, you do need to book out of one and book in to the other type for the same class as spaces are allocated to you. Please book out 24 hours or more in advance or you will be charged for the class. Go in to ‘My Schedule’ in your MINDBODY account and click on ‘cancel’, re-book in to the way you want to attend.
    • All terms, passes and individually paid for classes are non-refundable in all circumstances, including illness and accidents such as breaking bones etc. We are fully sympathetic to people who become ill or have unforseen circumstances, but we need to have this policy to be able to run the classes, paying for the venues , teachers etc.  We are a very small, teacher-led organisation. Thank you for understanding that we can’t make exceptions.
    •   We do have a 24 hour cancellation policy for all class bookings. This is so we have an idea of the numbers in a class and it gives others the chance to book a space in a class, especially in-person. If you wish to cancel a class, you need to go in to ‘My Schedule’ in your MINDBODY account and click on ‘Early Cancel’ next to that class. Then go back in to the mat classes page and find another class you want to book in to. You choose the date of the class you want to attend and click on it so it turns blue, and then when you click on enrol, it will enrol you without asking for any more money.  If the system is asking you for more money, either you did not cancel a class in time – you do need to cancel 24 hours in advance – or you have clicked on more classes than you have money for, such as not selecting just one date.
    • The 24 hour cancellation policy does mean if you get ill last minute or get held up at work, we do need to charge you for the class, as someone else could have had that slot and we still need to pay for the room teachers etc.  Thank you for understanding that we cannot make exceptions.
    • If you forget to follow the booking out  / cancelling a class procedure, we do need to use your money for that class as someone else could have used the space, so do please book out using MINDBODY if you want to use the money for a different class.  Thank you for understanding that we cannot make exceptions.
    • Classes you cannot book in to using the booking system to ‘make up’ : There is one class you cannot use to ‘make up’ in – the Monday small group class in-person only with Gill at 12.30pm.
    • If a teacher is off sick, we will either have another teacher cover the class, or in extreme emergencies we will cancel the class. We reserve the right not to notify you in advance of a change of teacher, although we will always try to. They will always be a qualified Pilates teacher  – usually one of us!. If we have to cancel a class, we will email you as soon as we know we have to cancel.  Please do check your emails regularly just in case.  We do also leave phone messages for late cancel classes, so do check your phone. This occurs about once a year or once every two years due to sickness or an emergency, or snow!
    • If we have to cancel a class, you will be able to book in to a different class during the fourteen weeks of the Autumn term.

Terms and Conditions of Online Attendance

      • If you are late for Your Online Class: we do out best to notice people appearing in the waiting room and let in latecomers. We cannot guarantee this will happen, especially if you are more than ten minutes late. We have to concentrate hard, managing the people in the room and online, and do not always glance at the waiting room. We cannot give you another class if you are late and do not get let in.
      • Zoom Links for Those of You Online: are given to you in the auto-confirmation email sent to you the moment you have booked a class.  You will receive it within ten minutes of booking. If you have not, check Spam/ Junk, and if it is not there, email Bea immediately. The links stays the same for the term or block. We cannot send out the link each week to you in the auto-reminders as these are generic. Store it somewhere safe.  If you lose it, please email Bea to send it to you again manually at least 24 hours in advance of your class as Bea teaches and is in the office sporadically.  Thank you.
      • Solving Your Continued Lack Of Auto-Emails and Zoom Links  – If you did not tick you wanted to receive admin emails / reminders when you set up your MINDBODY account with us , you will not get send the immediate auto-confirmation email with a Zoom link for an online class. Please change this in the settings of your account with us so it looks like this:

  • Zoom Links if you Book In to a One-Off Class: it works the same – you will receive the zoom link in an immediate auto-confirmation email sent to you.  Each termly class has its own link for that term.
  • WiFi Problems – Ours: If we have wifi problems lasting more than fifteen minutes and cannot get you back we will of course give you access to another class to make up for it.  We will know that they are our problems because we will not have any of you being able to log in or will lose you all.
  • WiFi Problems – Yours: we will try to let you back in a couple of times, but if it gets more than this, it can prove disruptive for the rest of the class and we can’t continue to keep re-admitting you. We cannot give you an extra class if your wifi is not playing, I am sorry.

We appreciate your support with these terms and conditions
